The purpose of this article is to introduce the changing identity according to the birth
and the spirit of the novel as a kind of social time. The novel shows a changing social time,

Roman, modern dönemle birlikte ortaya çıkmış bir edebi tür olarak içinden geçtiği toplumsal zamanın şekline göre değişen bir özellik göstermektedir. Rönesans ile birlikte biçimlenen kimliği sanayi çağının farklı dönemlerinde, içinden geçtiği sosyal atmosferin etkisini taşımaktadır. Epiğin idealizminin evrensel insanlık değerleri olarak evrildiği klasik roman türü, on dokuzuncu yüzyılın sanayi çağının rengini taşırken, bilişim çağının hızlı ve parçalı ruhunun karakteristik özelliklerini post modern romanda görmek mümkündür.
