Weddings have always been important events in people’s lives. Therefore, there is a close link between weddings and the way traditions are carried out. In this study, the wedding preparations and practices in 12 villages of Terekemens in Derbent District, Daghistan, are analysed in terms of the choice of bride, engagement practices, getting the consent of people involved, the exhibition of the bride’s clothes and post wedding traditions and ceremonies.
Свадьба во все времена считалась одним из важных событий в жизни человека. Поэтому с ней связано множество обычаев и примет. В данной статье описывается последовательность церемонии свадьбы в терекемейских селах(12 сел) Дербентского района Республики Дагестан: выбор невесты, сватовство, получения согласия, обручение, демонстрация принесенных нарядов регистрация брака и послесвадебные обычаи и обряды.
