Karadeniz International Scientific Journal supports open science principles and encourages research data to be transparent, accessible, and reusable.

Authors are encouraged to make their datasets, analysis codes, and related research materials available whenever possible.

Authors must clearly state one of the following in their manuscript:

• The datasets are publicly available in an open repository
• The datasets are available upon reasonable request
• The datasets cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions

Information regarding data availability must be provided under a “Data Availability Statement” section within the manuscript.

Authors are encouraged to use reliable repositories such as:

• Institutional repositories
• Subject-specific repositories
• International open data platforms

Ethics and Confidentiality

When sharing datasets containing personal or sensitive information, authors must comply with applicable legal regulations and ethical standards.

Data should be anonymized or access-restricted where necessary.

Editorial Process

Editors and reviewers may request access to datasets and analysis outputs when necessary.

Data sharing is considered an important factor in ensuring the scientific reliability of the manuscript.
