NEOLITHIC PERIOD CULT CENTER: HARBETSUVAN TEPESİ

Research conducted within the Şanlıurfa province borders in recent years has revealed that the connection between the centers without the Aceramic Neolithic Period is more intense than expected. In particular, This density, which emerges in the beginning of the 9th millennium, manifests itself in the increase in the number of centers of similar characteristics. These centers; Sefer Tepe, Kurt Tepesi, Hamzan Tepe, Taşlı Tepe, Karahan Tepe and Harbetsuvan Tepesi are especially opposed by "T" shapped pillar. Göbekli Tepe leyer II. archeological excavations were started in Harbetsuvan Tepesi, which we carried out together with Şanlıurfa Museum in 2017, in these centers where the pillar of the same size as the "T" shaped pillar seen on the plate. In this rescue excavation, which was originally made to recognize the extent of the damage caused by the illicit diggers, new architectural finds and archaeological finds have already begun to emerge. The existence of obelisks in the middle of the quadrangular stone structures or in the walls of the excavations at Harbetsuvan Tepesi. layer structures. When you look at the other works; such as pelagic sculptures, arm and finger embossed obelisks, Byblos tips, flat axes, obsidian readers, basalt stone paillettes, and so on. The excavation at Harbetsuvan Tepesi, which is planned to continue in 2018, clearly shows that there is a center that features a second cult center outside of Göbekli Tepe. In this work, an evaluation will be made on the architectural innovations and small finds that were excavated in the Harbetsuvan Tepesi excavation.
