The publication language of this journal is Turkish, English, or Russian.

This is an open-access journal. Therefore, all issues and articles published so far can be accessed free of charge from the journal's website.

The folk are a demonstration of the cultural structure of the society to which the folk belong, and at the same time the way the people express themselves freely. Silifke is one of the folklore texts that reflect the cultures of the people. Until this time, the research and compilation of a scientific folklore from the musical point of view regarding the Silifke Turks, is the reason for the formation of this article. In the study, information about the concepts of folk dancers was given, together with the views of folklore researchers. Our research area is aimed to detect and record the folk songs compiled from Silifke and its regions and thus to transmit these songs to future generations.
