THE IMAGE CONCEPT IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND THE TURKISH IMAGE AS A FAILURE IN THE WESTERN NOSTALGIA

In this artical, the Turkish image in the Western society, nearly all the Turks have to feel in different intensity and even have to face, is discussed. The study prepared in these terms consists of three sections. In the first section, the “image” concept is handled in its conceptual deepness, and “image in international affairs” as a political concept is examined. The second section focuses on the image-value perception coming out in the New Worl Order and the hegemonic side of the perception. Lastly, in section three, East and Turkey’s image in the West and the background of this image is resolved.
