STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS AND STRATEGIC PLANNING IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANISATIONS

Planning is a vital process in the modern world on individual, organisational and managerial levels. In order to keep pace with the rapidly changing conditions and cope with the roblems arising from chaotic and unknown atmospheres, the most influentual methodology is making a good and effective planning. Although strategic planning processes in Turkey began officially in 2003, the institutions, where their foundations were laid and applicatons were first made, are educational organisations. The 2015-2019 strategic plan, which is the second plan to be launched by the Ministry of National Education, is still under preparation for application. In this study, the importance of strategic planning processes are discussed and the applications of strategic planning in educational organisations are dealt with.
